Key issues of the healthcare system reforms in the jurisprudence of The Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania

Abstract

The article analyzes the jurisprudence of the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania related to healthcare issues.Seven cases, four of them normative and three of them individual,are dis cussed. It is emphasized that the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania and administrative courts in general are not and cannot be isolated from other courts; on the contrary, the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania assimilates the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania, including aspects related to healthcare, and also relies on the jurisprudence of supranational courts (European Court of Human Rights and Court of Justice of the European Union).
