Problemos, su kuriomis susiduria socialiniai darbuotojai sveikatos priežiūros įstaigose: per didelis darbo krūvis, perdegimo sindromo rizika; informacijos apie socialinių darbuotojų teikiamas paslaugas sklaidos ribotumas, darbo vietos problema, socialinio darbo sveikatos priežiūros įstaigose nepakankamas vertinimas, „tarpministerinio susikalbėjimo“ problema.
