    One of the most crucial challenges in e-learning is the course's quality and learning analytics to ensure it is one of the prominent avenues to be taken in the field. The paper initially aims to present the literature review findings on the benefits and challenges of learning analytics for higher education. Secondly, it shows the results of the pilot experiment. The experiment methodology comprises two cases. The first case presents course design quality solely based on learning analytics data. The second case describes the course design's quality using the proposed framework based on both data from learning analytics and a survey including specified criteria. Although the pilot experiment is limited to the number of courses included and a small sample, it provided significant insights into the benefits and challenges of learning analytics as a tool for course design improvement and course design quality interpretation.

    The paper aims to research the benefits of robotics to early childhood education, specifically prosocial values. The study examined a sample (n = 130) of children from fourteen kindergartens in one Lithuanian region aged 3-4 and 5-6 years old. The results demonstrated statistically significant differences in both groups learning with and without robots regarding collaboration, interest, and joy measures. However, there was no statistically significant difference in group 3-4 children regarding the difficulties measure. Also, the results revealed that children aged 5-6 had fewer difficulties in learning using the robot than without robots. This study provides insights that activities with robots foster positive emotions and prosocial values and decreases negative emotions while learning with robots.

    Verslo analitikos įrankiai plačiai taikomi jau kelis dešimtmečius. Technologinių sprendimų plėtra ir įvairovė lėmė analitikos skvarbą ir švietimo sektoriuje. Literatūros šaltinių analizė rodo, kad tyrimų, susijusių su analitikos taikymu aukštojo mokslo institucijose daugėja. Bendradarbiaudamos su verslu aukštojo mokslo įstaigos tobulina mokymosi kursus, juos adaptuoja prie keliamų reikalavimų, siekia aktyvaus studentų įsitraukimo. Studento motyvacija, įsitraukimas ir savalaikė pagalba dažnu atveju gali užtikrinti studento efektyvumą studijų metu. Todėl itin aktualu yra kiekvieno studento stebėsena studijų metu. Vienas efektyviausių šiuolaikinių technologijų siūlomų sprendimų – mokymosi analitikos taikymas. Straipsnyje nagrinėjami teoriniai mokymosi analitikos aspektai, pateikiami mokymosi analitikos taikymo pavyzdžiai bei poreikio institucionalizuoti interaktyvių, verslui skirtų įrankių, inkorporavimą į aukštojo mokslo institucijų veiklą, pagrindimas.

    Public procurement is a significant part of economics and one of the most extensive measures for distributing state budget funds in the public sector. At the European Union level, the goal is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the public procurement process. It can be done by shortening public procurement procedures and ensuring the best opportunities for supplier competition for public contracts. Since service pro-viders, service users, technological and methodological approaches influence each other; therefore, a systematic and detailed analysis of the public procurement process is necessary to improve the key performance indicators. The implementation of public procurement can be seen as a knowledge management model for achieving the ultimate goal: to ensure quality services. Compared to private capital entities, increasing the efficiency of the public sector faces additional challenges caused by bureaucracy and detailed legal regulations that are often also imperative. The use of necessary efficiency measures, such as standardisation and centralisation of pro-curement activities, can increase the efficiency of the public procurement process. However, it is worth noting that such measures ensure only fixed effects in the long run. To reduce process costs and eliminate no-value added process steps, other process improvement methodologies, such as e. g. Lean or Six Sigma come in to play. The study examines the process improvement through a systematic review of the applied methods to increase the public procurement process's efficiency from a non-financial criteria perspective. The analysis shows that a consistent and timely process review of operational problems and search for improvement opportunities enable organisations to operate more effectively and efficiently. The main contribution of this paper is revealing the positive impact of Lean and Lean Six Sigma for low-value and typical procurement processes: employee work time on average per-process reduced by 25.81%, and the whole process's duration reduced by 16%.

    The long-term availability of food is essential to guaranty human existence. Therefore, relevant stakeholders, the government, and society are increasingly concerned about public food procurement in the most sustainable manner where distance and cultural characteristics are considered. While short food supply chains (SFSC) are essential, little is known about the relevance, magnitude, and policy lesson within a developing country context. Purpose – to identify the thrust of the SFSC; classified in terms of depth of research, content analysis, and methodology; and provide direction for future research. Research methodology – systematic literature review (SLR) on SFSC and corresponding data analysis. Findings – while identifying heterogeneous clusters, this study provides new and insightful evidence that was a prior unclear. This study reached plausible conclusions with three major gap identifications and offered relevant recommendations to redirect policy and research on the subject. Research limitations – the study is limited to the SFSC from studies published from 2001 through 2020. Practical implications – the study can help decide relevant stakeholders, the government, and society on use-cases of SFSC. Originality/Value – the paper presents state-of-the-art SRL results on SFSC, identifies main gaps and future research directions and extends the analysis by further appraising these papers' results in a stratified manner to reach a comprehensive conclusion sufficient for an international readership

    IT paslaugų valdymo tobulinimas klientų aptarnavimo versle: atvejo analizė

    Informacinių technologijų paslaugas teikiančiose struktūrose dažnu atveju iškeliami tikslai paslaugų kokybei ir valdymui gerinti. Gebėjimas išlikti konkurencingam yra vienas svarbiausių kiekvienos šiuolaikinės organizacijos sėkmės faktorių, todėl kiekvienas verslas siekia tobulėti ir seka technologines naujoves. Tam, kad procesai versle būtų sėkmingi, privalu remtis racionaliais ir gerai apgalvotais sprendimais, o šiuos sprendimus labai dažnai padeda priimti būtent panaudojant technologijas gauta ir susisteminta informacija bei žinios. Daugeliu atvejų duomenimis grįsti sprendimai sukuria prielaidas išvengti didelių rizikų arba jas sumažinti. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos IT procesų taikymo klientų aptarnavimo paslaugoms gerinti galimybės ir, atlikus tyrimą, pateikiamos jų tobulinimo galimybės. Kadangi klientų pasitenkinimas suteiktomis paslaugomis tiesiogiai koreliuoja su paslaugų kokybe, nuolatinis teikiamų paslaugų procesų vertinimas ir optimizavimas yra neišvengiamas. Tyrimo tikslas yra ištirti ir empiriškai įvertinti esamus pasirinktos įmonės IT incidentų valdymo procesus bei numatyti jų tobulinimo galimybes. Atlikus incidentų valdymo procesų analizę pasirinktoje įmonėje (atvejo analizė), identifikuotiems trūkumams likviduoti pateiktas incidentų valdymo procesų patobulinimas. Atlikto patobulinimo efektyvumui įvertinti taikyti aprašomosios ir išvadų statistikos metodai, kurie parodė, kad patobulintas procesas turėjo statistiškai reikšmingą teigiamą įtaką klientų aptarnavimo paslaugų kokybei gerinti. Todėl galima teigti, kad įgyvendinti pakeitimai yra efektyvūs ir naudingi įmonės veiklos kontekste.

    Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos IT procesų taikymo klientų aptarnavimo paslaugoms gerinti aktualijos. Kadangi klientų pasitenkinimas suteiktomis paslaugomis tiesiogiai koreliuoja su paslaugų kokybe, būtinas strateginis požiūris į teikiamų paslaugų procesų optimalumą. Todėl, tyrimo tikslas yra ištirti ir empiriškai įvertinti esamus pasirinktos įmonės incidentų valdymo procesus bei numatyti jų tobulinimo galimybes. Siekiant ištirti incidentų valdymo procesų aspektus ir problematiką, atliekama mokslinės literatūros palyginamoji analizė. Pirmiausia, apžvelgiamos ir analizuojamos populiariausios IT procesų valdymo metodologijos (ITIL, Coli, ISO 9000). Pateikiamas analizuojamų metodologijų aprašas ir pagrindiniai jas apimantys metodai. Tačiau, tik įdiegus ir išbandžius naujas technologijas ar vadybos procesus, galima ne tik teoriškai, bet ir praktiškai atsakyti į klausimą, ar tikrai inovatyvus IT procesas gelbsti užtikrinant klientų lojalumą ir teigiamą grįžtamąjį ryšį. Todėl, atlikus incidentų valdymo procesų analizę pasirinktoje įmonėje (atvejo analizė), pateikiamas incidentų valdymo procesų patobulinimas, grindžiamas ITIL metodologijos principais. Pasirinktoje įmonėje, atlikus esamų incidentų valdymo procesų analizę pastebėti šie pagrindiniai trūkumai: komunikacijos apie incidentus spragos; dauguma užklausų registruojamos kaip incidentai ir neišskiriamos užduotys; netinkamas incidentų prioretizavimas; informacijos trūkumas apie galimus sprendimus; statusų trūkumas ir kt. Šių problemų likvidavimui buvo nuspręsta pasitelkti pilną užklausos gyvavimo ciklo (angl. Rebuse Life Cycle) funkcionalumą, kuris leido kontroliuoti užklausų sprendimų procesus su jau iš anksto pateiktais žingsniais pagalbos tarnybos specialistui. Atlikto patobulinimo efektyvumui įvertinti taikyti aprašomosios ir išvadų statistikos metodai, kurie parodė, kad antrąjį pusmetį patobulintas procesas turėjo teigiamos įtakos klientų aptarnavimo paslaugų kokybei gerinti. Gauti rezultatai rodo, kad egzistuoja statistiškai reikšmingas skirtumas tarp vėluojamų išspręsti klaidų skaičiaus pirmą ir antrą pusmetį, bei antro pusmečio vėluojamų išspręsti klaidų skaičius yra mažesnis nei pirmo pusmečio. Todėl galima teigti, kad įgyvendinti pakeitimai yra efektyvūs ir naudingi.

    Any business system is designed to achieve the business strategy. It can be reached by connecting all an organization’s parts and processes to work together effectively and efficiently. Knowledge management technologies can facilitate it to a great extent. These technologies are essential for contemporary organizations to become and grow successfully in the marketplace. However, the level at which the organization applies these technologies varies. The approach on how to analyze business systems from a knowledge management technologies perspective is essential because of the rapid change of the business environment in which effective and efficient business strategy seeks to be implemented. Knowledge management technologies are enablers to simplify knowledge identification; acquisition of knowledge; knowledge development; knowledge sharing and dissemination; use of knowledge; knowledge preservation, and others. There are endless cycles of information transfer. Knowledge management processes ensure the smooth transfer and use of knowledge in organizations. The paper aims to present the approach to valuing business systems from a knowledge management technologies perspective. As the term knowledge management technologies is complex and confusing, first based on a literature review, the analysis of how to classify those technologies is performed. The business system is analyzed from a socio-technical system perspective and an approach to valuing it is presented. The paper contributes with these findings: 1) provides the results of scientific analysis on approaches to how to classify knowledge management technologies, 2) determines an approach to valuing business systems from a knowledge management technologies perspective consisting of five-level maturity construct. Based on the approach in the future, the evaluation methodology will be constructed. As the paper provides the theoretical background of the business system evaluation strategy from a knowledge management technologies perspective, the future work will incorporate the development of the method for practical applications.

    Financial markets are one of the main components of the economy, and their growth and development is a crucial and significant factor in the world. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence is an exponentially developing field. The use of artificial intelligence in financial markets is a new and intensely developing phenomenon, requiring extensive research. The aim of this paper is to present a methodology of machine learning-based method effective application in financial instrument price forecasting in comparison with the traditional method, namely ARIMA. Consequently, the scientific literature on financial markets, traditional and machine learning-based methods were analyzed. Finally, a theoretical model for stock prices forecasting is presented. The main results of the analysis show the most extensively techniques applied in the stock markets and cash markets are methods of time series analysis, econometrics and machine learning. After analysis of methods of machine learning, it can be found most popular supervised learning algorithms are linear regression, decision trees/regression tree, random forest classification/ regression, and support vector machines. As a result of the research, a theoretical model for financial instrument price forecasting is presented and discussed. Based on the theoretical approach proposed several experiments will be performed using ARIMA and Support Vector Regression (SVR) methods.
